Traffic Back to Normal After Completion of Wastewater Pipe Work on TB Simatupang

The tunneling work for the Centralized Domestic Wastewater Treatment System (SPALD-T) at MH-7 point on Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta, has been completed ahead of schedule, finishing earlier than the original target of October 25, 2025.

"...the road is fully reopened for normal use,”

Previously, Perumda Paljaya had completed work at MH-4 (in front of Cibis Park) on October 7, 2025. With this, all construction that reduced road lanes on the southern side of TB Simatupang has been finished.

“The project barriers have now been removed and the road is fully reopened for normal use,” said Untung Suryadi, President Director of Perumda Paljaya, on Sunday (10/19).

He stated that the acceleration reflects Paljaya’s commitment to prioritizing public interest by minimizing construction impacts on traffic flow on Jalan TB Simatupang.

“We appreciate the patience and support from the community during the project,” he expressed.

Untung also emphasized Paljaya's commitment to continuing the development of domestic wastewater infrastructure until June 2026 in an effective, efficient manner focused on public benefits.

“Paljaya continues to strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety,” he asserted.

For information, the ongoing project involves the centralized domestic wastewater management system (SPALD-T) through pipeline installation and treatment facilities to create safe sanitation, supporting environmental quality, public health, and Jakarta's sustainability.
